Dr Benjamin-Arias is originally from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She attended Florida International University in Miami and University of South Florida in Tampa for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1998 and pursued her pediatric residency training at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando.
As a Board Certified Pediatrician, she has been in private practice since 2001. Dr Benjamin-Arias joined iKids Pediatrics in 2011. She also has been a volunteer at Shepherds Hope community center for 11 years.
She and her husband James have 2 daughters, Elyse and Adelynn. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching her daughters’ volleyball games and reading.
They have great pediatricians, both Dr. Benjamin and Dr. Gayoso are super nice. They take time to listen to concerns and answer your questions. Appointment times could be better, they’re usually super busy. But they’re also very good at fitting you in last minute as long as they have availability.
Dr G & Dr Benjamin are Excellent Doctors They Both are very attentive and Caring..My Kids have been coming to Ikids since they were 5&6 and now they’re 13 & 14 I’m very particular about my kids care but I’m pleased to say these docs rock
I’ve been taking my 4 kids here since 2014. I love, LOVE Dr. Benjamin!!! She always makes time to call back personally if requested and always puts me at ease. She’s a wonderful doctor and seems like an amazing mother, too. Heather is also awesome and the staff is always super friendly! Dr. Gayoso is also a good doctor but doesn’t come off as motherly or compassionate as Dr. Benjamin and Heather. Definitely recommend!
